How to choose a blister packing machine for a pharma plant in Pakistan

Five questions that narrow down the right blister machine, from output to format changes and spare parts.

Business Land Trading,

DPP-260 flat-plate blister packing machine

A blister machine runs every day for years, so the right choice is the one that fits your products, output and team, not just the lowest price. These five questions narrow it down.

1. What output do you need?

Work out blisters per minute from your monthly volume, shifts and a realistic efficiency of around 70 percent. Compact machines like the DPP-180 suit small and medium volumes; wider machines like the DPP-260 put more blisters in each cycle for higher output.

2. Alu-PVC, Alu-Alu or both?

If you plan to pack moisture-sensitive products, make sure the machine can run Alu Alu foil with cold forming tooling, and budget for the extra tooling set.

3. How many formats will you run?

Each tablet size and blister layout needs its own forming, sealing and cutting tooling. Ask how long a format change takes and the price of each additional set.

4. Will it link to a cartoner?

If you plan to add a cartoning machine later, choose a blister machine that can transfer blisters automatically, and check the layout of your packing hall.

5. Spare parts and support

Ask which wear parts should be kept in stock, how quickly spares arrive, and what installation and training support is included.

Matching film and foil

The machine is only as good as the materials it runs. Buying PVC, PVDC, Alu Alu and PTP foil slit to the machine's exact web width avoids most start-up problems. We supply both the machine and the materials.
