Aluminium blister foil (PTP lidding foil)
PTP (press-through pack) foil is the lidding material that seals tablets and capsules into PVC, PVDC or Alu Alu blisters. It is a hard-temper aluminium foil with a heat-seal lacquer on one side and a primer on the other, so it seals reliably and lets the patient push the dose through.
We supply plain PTP foil for every common blister format and print it to your artwork when you need branding (see printed blister foil).

Will your blister foil seal on my PVC film?
Yes, as long as the lacquer is matched to the base film. Tell us whether you run PVC, PVC/PVDC or Alu Alu and your sealing temperature, and we supply the matching lacquer.
Which thickness is right for push-through packs?
20 µm and 25 µm hard-temper foil are standard for push-through blisters. Child-resistant or peel-push packs use special structures, which we can source on request.
