Alu Alu cold form foil for pharmaceutical blisters
Alu Alu foil, also called cold form foil or cold forming foil, is a three-layer laminate of oriented polyamide (OPA), aluminium and PVC. The web is stretched into cavities with a cold punch instead of heat, which keeps a continuous aluminium layer around every tablet. That is why Alu Alu blisters give near-total protection from moisture, oxygen and light.
We supply 160 micron Alu Alu foil imported from established Chinese pharmaceutical packaging mills, tested against the YBB00242002-2015 standard, and slit to the width your blister machine needs. Each lot is supported by a certificate of analysis.

Questions about Alu Alu Cold Form Foil
What is the difference between Alu Alu foil and blister foil?
Alu Alu foil is the forming web that makes the cavities. Blister (lidding) foil is the flat foil that seals the pack shut. An Alu Alu pack uses both: cold form foil for the base and PTP blister foil as the lid.
Which thickness should I order?
160 micron is the standard for most tablets and capsules. Deeper cavities or large softgels may need a thicker aluminium layer. Send your cavity size or a sample pack on WhatsApp and we will recommend the structure.
Can you slit Alu Alu foil to my machine width?
Yes. Tell us your blister machine model and web width, and we supply rolls slit to size on a 76 mm core.
